Our Story

The little moments become the big memories.

The Days We Keep started with one question: what if there were a beautiful place to keep the moments we'll someday wish we could live again?

Not only the birthdays and first steps. The words our children invent. The questions that catch us off guard. The drawings we can't bring ourselves to throw away. The ordinary afternoons that somehow become the ones we miss most.

How it started

I'm Carmen, a mom and a software developer.

When my son was born, I started taking pictures of him every day. For every milestone I wanted the photo to feel special: stickers, pretty lettering, a collage of his week. Then I started keeping track of his weight, his height and his firsts. Soon I was juggling one app for photos, another for collages, another for growth, and a notebook for everything else.

I had just graduated in computer science, so I decided to build the one app I actually wanted, with everything in one place.

It began as a simple photo organizer for my son. Then it grew: growth tracking, milestones, a journal, and every feature I'd wished already existed. Somewhere along the way I realized that if I needed this, other moms probably did too. That's when The Days We Keep stopped being my personal project and became a mission: to help families everywhere keep the days they'll want back.

Our stories don't stop at the milestones. The place we keep them shouldn't either.

And the more I built, the more I saw that family memories don't belong to one stage. Pregnancy has its own story. Toddlers have their own language. Teenagers have their own jokes. Underneath all of it is the story of the family itself.

More than a camera roll

We already have thousands of photos. What we lose is everything around them: what happened right before, what she said, why everyone was laughing on an ordinary Tuesday.

The Days We Keep is built for that part. A photo with its story. A voice you want to hear again. A letter sealed for later. A page your mother added from her own phone.

For the family you are now, and the one you'll be

Maybe you're expecting. Maybe you're trying to write down every funny thing your toddler says. Maybe your kids are older and you're realizing how much you'd already forgotten. Wherever you are, it's not too late to start.

  1. expecting
  2. the toddler years
  3. growing up
  4. you, too
  5. all of you

You don't have to keep everything.

Start with one moment, one sentence, one photo. I'll help you keep it.
